About the Company
Wine & Roses founder Courtney Weiner is not good at sitting still. Courtney is a full-time lawyer. In 2008, while living and working in New York, Courtney decided to take the frustrations of law firm life out on canvas (and, as a result, on her Manhattan studio apartment). One city and one security deposit later, she has added the less messy pursuit of jewelry-making. And so, Wine & Roses Jewelry and Art was born.
About the Jewelry
Wine & Roses keeps it real. All of the jewelry is made from semi-precious gemstones. Except where noted, all metal is sterling silver or gold-fill (gold, blended with other metals for increased strength). Each piece is unique and hand-made. Custom orders are available.
About the Art
Courtney likes to color in the lines...sometimes. All paintings are acrylic on canvas, in a style that's a little bit geometric, a little bit free-form. There is no art for sale on the site yet, but if you are interested in buying a piece, please e-mail us.
About our Name
The name "Wine & Roses" is a tribute to Courtney's family. The "Wine" is for her father's side (yes, the name is pronounced Wine-er). "Roses" is for her mother's side: her two great-grandmothers were Rose and Rosa. Courtney firmly believes that everything she is today is because of her family, and wanted her business to acknowledge that, as well.
